This collection provides a neat and concise summary of the social history of the 20th Century from a largely British perspective.

The author has selected a wide range of sources from Hitler to Gandhi, Enoch Powell to Germain Greer and as the content is purely the speeches, notices and writings of the indiviudals concerned the ability to accredit the validity of the works is superb.

This gave me an excellent summation of the important watersheds of the 20th Century and I cannot help but feel a little tingle of something of my more thoughful youth has been awoken to look, to challenge and to dicuss the way in which we live and to question the status quo.

Simply a must if you like a good read and are able to think.
