I'm slowly wading my way through everything this guy has done because, in my opinion, he's one of the most talented and thought provoking writers out there. This collection of 13 short stories will not disappoint all those who want quick Gothic fixes with an abundance of weirdness and eccentricity. McGrath demonstrates his awesome command of language and inspiring narratives which makes me wish that he'd release another collection of shorts. My personal favourites were The Explorer, Hand of a Wanker and The Boot's Tale; all very different, all very clever, all very satisfying. Roll on Trauma...!
