5.0 out of 5 stars A truly moving book, 15 May 2001
Whilst still in his mother's womb, Conradin is exposed to a near lethal dose of sigma radiation. Orphaned at birth he is placed in the St Xavier Home for Wayward Boys. Here, in the gloomy and echoing halls the child matures into a shy and awkward adult. Back in the outside world, Conradin settles down into a life of unrewarding drudgery until, by a freak accident he is once more exposed to sigma radiation and transformed into 'Lobster-Man'. Now equiped with super-human strength and special powers Conradin dedicates his life to serving mankind and to tracking down the pirates who kidnapped Mary-Lou his deaf and blind childhood sweetheart
