4.0 out of 5 stars Dark, and beautifully written, 21 April 2004
This review is from: Other People's Worlds (Paperback)
If the facts don't suit William Tyte, he invents something more to histaste. After all, he's an actor. He only wants people to be nice to him. And to give him presents. Other People's Worlds unravels theconsequences.
Dark, and as beautifully written as one has come toexpect from William Trevor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not very exciting, 22 Mar 2007

This review is from: Other People's Worlds (Paperback)
This is quite a dark book and the characters are very well portrayed. I just found it a bit slow moving and had to force myself to pick it up and read some more. The plot line is good and I enjoyed the way one of the central characters, Francis, was in the book for such a short time, but the rest of the book concentrated on the mess he left behind him. Also it had a good ending, just not very spectacular and a bit of a drag to get through.
