5.0 out of 5 stars A lifeline read over and over again, 13 Mar 1999
By A Customer
This book was a lifeline to me after my son Robbie died in August 1997, he was 29. Harriett Sarnoff Schiff has been through the same experience but had also written about the experiences of many other parents. It makes you realise that you are not going mad, also that you are not alone. I have read this book many times and each time it gives me comfort and an understanding of the feelings of despair that I have. I would recommend the book to any bereaved parent but especially a mother.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best on the subject., 27 Jun 2002
By Gary Bentley (Manchester United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This book has become my solemate. The thoughts and experiences of the author made the miriad of emotions my wife and I experienced easier to understand. The loss of our 11 year old daughter will be something we never "get over", this book reaffirms that moving on is not the same as letting go. I would recommend this book to anyone who has,and I quote "stared at hell and survived".
