It is a testament to both the author and the book itself that, after all these years, there is yet to be a better book written about the FORTH language.

Whilst this book is definately getting a bit a long in the tooth, and the language has moved on in some respects, there is an awful lot in here that is still relevant, even today; I have no doubt this book will prepare the reader fully to begin his first steps with any modern FORTH language.

The book starts from first principles, such as the stack, putting numbers on the stack, and then takes you right through the language exploring some very advanced techniques, and even shows you how you can extend the compiler to make your own langauge using FORTH!

A brilliant book. Getting pricey these days, but worth every penny.
