A good book for degree students studying financial accounting at a fairly basic level, this book provides a sound basis for further study into the subject. The layout is inviting and user friendly with a well written dialogue throughout stating clearly the facts and concepts behind financial accounting. This book follows on nicely from the financial aspects of Accounting: An Introduction by McLaney and Attrill explaining further the practices involved and is a good companion for a second year module to an Accounting/Business orientated degree program. Overall a good textbook for the serious user and well worth a look.

We use "Introduction to Financial Accounting" in our first year Financial Accounting course. I really like the book. Visually clear and appealing, clear language, good examples, good structure. The book truly belongs to a new generation of F&A books that make an effort to demonstrate how and why F&A is interesting. It points out connections and background info. In my opinion a well-written and interesting introduction.
