4.0 out of 5 stars Worthwhile., 27 Jul 2009

A bit dated now, as Simply Mepis is now known as Mepis Linux and is up to version 8. Still worth a read as a general overview of Mepis and Linux in general.

1.0 out of 5 stars Overrated - an introduction to a GUI, 1 Mar 2008
I think this book is overrated, as it seems to focus on using a graphical user interface more than how Linux is different to Windows. If you've used Windows before, this book is probably too easy. I much preferred Test Driving Linux by Marcel Gagne which actually explained the differences to Windows.
