I have used this book with Simulink 6.6 and found its examples to be accurate and informative. I covered 11 or 12 chapters of the 15, including Stateflow, which was fun to watch in the executed example.
The engineering science in some of the examples was challenging too - how do you simulate an inverted pendulum on a force controlled movable cart - just like a Space Shuttle take off!! All good fun, and a good book.
