Product Description

Book Description

Appropriate for use as a supplement to any DE text, this is a superb supplement written by one of the leaders of using technology in the ODE/course. The second edition of this manual reflects the changes and advances in MATLAB software during the past five years. All of the commands have been thoroughly tested with MATLAB, version 5.0 and the Symbolic Toolbox, version 2.0, but the manual can be used with later releases as well.

Features and Benefits

NEW - The text is now compatible with MATLAB 5.
NEW - The text has been extensively rewritten. New exercises at various levels of difficulty have been added to aid a wider diversity of readers in their introduction to MATLAB 5.
NEW - A new section highlights the use of discontinuous forcing functions popular in engineering course.
NEW - Expanded treatment of the exponential matrix and its application to the solution of systems of differential equations.
NEW - A set of exercises designed to classify equilibrium points of linear systems in preparation for the analysis and linearization of nonlinear systems. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Matlab Applications for engineers and Scientists, 15 Mar 2004
It was one of the best books i could find about Matlad and ODE. The book is full of examples and is the best start for Engineers and Scientist to learn ODE with Matlab. I recommend this book to any postgraduate student.
