Product Description
Synopsis
Dr Sherwood puts forward a theory for the cause of non-specific back pain and reveals how many of today's illnesses, such as ME, stomach ulcers, migraine and arthritis, actually have their origin in the back. He follows this by describing a proven treatment which not provides not only permanent relief from pain but also long-term help for related illnesses. Including case histories, anecdotes and a question-and-answer section, the book also contains practical suggestions on how to look after your back and minimize pain before treatment is sought, and a five-minute daily exercise plan.

5.0 out of 5 stars A viable treatment for ME, 19 Feb 2002
Sherwood presents a reasonable explanation of the origin of ME/CFS. Spasm in the back muscles producing odema that then saturates the nervous and sympathetic nervous systems. The explanation is such that any ME/CFS brain fogged person can follow; I know I understood it.

A treatment plan that any physiotherapist can administer is included. It does not require drugs of any sort. Just persistence and someone responsible enough to follow direction in administering it.

Having undergone this course of treatment and because of it recovered from ME/CFS I whole-heartedly recommend this book. Do not be put off by the range of other conditions that Sherwood attributes to spasm of the back muscles. Two years on from my treatment I've had no recurrence of the ME/CFS at all. There's no doubt in my mind that Sherwood is on the right track with the other conditions too having seen a spectical health professional overcome asthma and other illness through this treatment.
