5.0 out of 5 stars How history should be learned!, 29 Jan 2002
By A Customer
Filled with all the charm and gore of the royals of England, this book captured the attention of an American cousin. I am passing along the knowledge, and book, to my ten-year-old students of social studies. I can hardly wait to see the overseas package arrive at my door. I've thought about this book for two years, ever since my last visit to England. I couldn't put it down until the last page. Humerous, informative, and fun; that's how history should be learned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best kids history book, 26 Jun 2007

My daughter (10) is a history fanatic and it started with this book. She has read ir over and over and continues to blow the minds of us and her teacher with little known, but entertaining stories of the royals through history. She has now moved on to meatier stuff but Tony's book is a gripping introduction

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but..... , 6 Aug 2006
I thought that someone as astute as Tony Robinson would have at least got some of the basic facts right - he states that Albert, Prince Consort spoke little or no English and some other minor errors too.
HOWEVER, it is a very good and entertaining book for children and how history should be learned.
