5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best that I have read so far,, 12 April 2001

I really enjoyed reading this book, and felt that had come to know the characters very well, you could feel the pain that they went through, and I have also felt that it is an enjoyable book, and I look forward to reading more of Katie Flynns books in the future

4.0 out of 5 stars Another good novel, 31 Jan 2001
Once again Katie Flynn has written a compelling story. I like the fact the story is centred around Liverpool and Ireland and each chapter concentrates on one location until both are finally united.

In "No Silver Spoon" each character is given their own storyline and by the end of the book I felt as if I knew everyone and had actually been with them.

The book ws full of surprises and the end certainly had a twist to it.

Unfortunately there were several discrepencies ie "penguins in the Artic" but overall a very enjoyable book.
