5.0 out of 5 stars A chilling insight into the Victim Industry, 6 Dec 1999
By A Customer
Tana Dineen unmasks the truth behind the victim industry prevalent today. Counselling has gained a sinister hold on the vulnerable and credulous members of todays society. This chilling expose informs us of the shady practices and collusions within the caring professions of Psychology, psychiatry and psychotherapy. These industries actively promote Victimhood as a means to a lucrative profession. The book is an absolute must to anyone contemplating counselling. The underlying message is simple. The Emperor has no clothes on. A courageous book as the author challenges this iniquitious establishment and examines its ultimate aims.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second only to The Holy Bible in value - Thankyou, Lord!, 24 April 2000
By A Customer
Nothing has helped me clarify my thinking like this book! I've read it over and over and I get more out of it each time. I'm on my second paperback copy, my first one fell apart I read it so many times! Of particular interest to me were her comments about the failures of the addiction/recovery and 12-Step programs.I thank Dr.Dineen for her courage and honesty in writing this book - it's obvious she has done her homework. I truly wish she would record every word on an audiotape copy! Manufacturing Victims was my first recommended reading on my website.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second only to The Bible in it's value as a survival guide!, 26 April 2000
By A Customer
I am deeply indebted to Dr. Dineen for having the courage to write this book. It's helped me gain more insight into my own and society's motivations and helped me realize why we have such a problem trusting ourselves and others.I've read it 4 times and wish it was on audio and videotape. I want Dr. Dineen to write another book expounding specifically on how churches, schools, and courts of law have been unknowingly duped into collusion with the "professional predators" of the "psychotheraputic industry". No doubt many people have been helped but countless thousands are being injured and Dr. Dineen is an advocate to vindicate those who have suffered emotional violence at the hands of their "caregivers."
