4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read for fans of The Dragons Den tv show, 27 Dec 2005
By A Customer
I'm a fan of The Dragons' Den, and this book is must for anyone who watches the show. I read it within a week because I literally couldn't put it down. It's simple to read, entertaining and puts some good advice into the palm of your hand.
It includes some interesting words of wisdom from each of the 'Dragons' and has the stories of some of the 'contestants' who starred on the show and what has happened to them since.
Don't expect this book to actually make you rich, but it summarises very well the mistakes people on the show made, and why those mistakes cost them the opportunity for investment.
If you're a budding entrepreneur about to face your own dragons then the advice in this book is an excellent starting point of how not to fail like so many hopefuls did on the show. And if you are thinking of making a go of it yourself in the business world and can't make up your mind, then maybe this book can help you see if you've got what it takes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bit of an eye opener and a good read., 8 Sep 2006

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
Like most of the people who will buy and review this book, I am a fan of the show and rarely miss it. So when I saw the book I had to read it.

The book is on the same lines as the first series, in that it involves those first five Dragons and a number of the first entrepreneurs. Its helpful, informative entertaining and above all a good read.

I have no intentions of even considering going on a show like Dragons Den but I would say, owning my own service business, I learnt a fair bit about presentation and planning and how to put forward a good idea. The book is entertaining and also a real insight into the ideas of the first five Dragons.

I liked it and recommend it and hope there will be a follow up with some DVDs of the best bits of the show.
