Product Description

Product Description

The world's population is currently being besieged by a growing plague of 21st Century diseases, the like of which have never been seen before. The number of people developing certain life threatening illnesses, such as diabetes, obesity, asthma and other allergies has doubled in the last two decades. Presenting the full story behind this modern day disease phenomenon, Stop the 21st Century Killing You offers helpful advice, presents compelling medical facts and is packed full of key pointers to enable the reader to take immediate action. Using information gathered from over 1000 international scientific research papers, Dr Paula Baillie-Hamilton explains for the first time the key factors underlying the recent tidal wave of illnesses and disease, offers numerous proven alternative treatments and reveals many previously undisclosed secrets of health. From cancer to cardiovascular disorders, and from lung disease to neurological problems, Baillie-Hamilton will reveal the evidence linking diseases to health damaging chemicals, giving practical advice on the best way to remove these toxins from the body by means of avoidance, by following successful alternative treatment methods and through the active use of nutritional medicine. This exciting new work is not only of major benefit to those with existing illnesses for which conventional medicine holds little hope of cure or effective treatment. Stop the 21st Century Killing You also provides an essential guide for those who want to maximise good health and lower the odds of becoming ill in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars The 21st Century won't kill me now!, 1 Feb 2005
By elayne benjamin (London England) - See all my reviews
Can one person save your life twice? I think the answer must be yes. After I read Dr Baillie-Hamilton's first book the 'Detox Diet' my entire family was transformed with only a little nagging. After I read 'Stop the 21st Century Killing You' I had no need to nag. Everyone embarked enthusiastically on the suggestions and we alone have 'sold' at least 20 copies of this book through our enthusiasm and the obvious results of following simple and well explained reasonings. Dr Baillie-Hamilton has the knack of making something so obvious that one wonders why one hasn't thought of it before and been doing it for years. I am convinced it is never too late and I can hardly wait for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helping people to fight toxic chemicals and illness, 24 Jan 2005
By Harry (Northwest London, England) - See all my reviews
There is always someone right out there helping us to fight our corner!
Dr Baillie-Hamilton has yet again published an excellent book-this time addressing the chronic complex diseases which are so difficult to treat using the conventional methods alone.
She explains how chemicals and toxins are poisoning our systems in ways not before recognised or fully understood.
Not only that but she has lots of suggestions to make on how to eat more chemical-free wholesome food as well as making affordable changes to our mode of living.
Those people who already have ongoing chronic diseases will gain a lot of valuable help which they will find most practicable.
Everyone who would like to live longer with more robust good health and good quality of life is personally advised to read this most readable book.
You owe it to your friends and family. And yourself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Learn how you can maximise good health, 1 May 2005
By Andrew (London, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Over recent years I have noticed that National newspapers have increasingly been providing alarming details about the rising prevalence of chronic ailments in young people.
Since reading through this well researched book, it has thrown a new light on what the author describes as "Typical 21st century illnesses". It has been a revelation to realise the extent of toxic chemicals in our everyday environment, which have an insidious and cumulative effect on the human body.
We now live in a polluted world and this book gives practical advice as to how we can improve our chances of enjoying good health.
