5.0 out of 5 stars A biography of Boone that answers many questions about him., 10 May 2001
By A Customer
Requiem for Boone is an incredible look at the life of William Boone, from his service in the SI war to his work in the Denver PD. It also provides brilliant insight into Kate Boone, in the form of correspondence. Every other chapter is written as one of Kate's e-mails. Though this is a somewhat unorthodox method of story-telling, it is very effective in letting the reader understand her, while still advancing the plot. This is a must-read for any fans of the series, especially given that it shows the first meeting between Boone and Augur. One thing that I found a little disappointing was that only the closing days of the SI war were covered. I would very much have liked to see things like 'The March on Taipei', and Boone's interaction with the real Liam Kincaid. But even without these things, 'Requiem for Boone' is a very engrossing read. I applaud the authors for capturing the essence of the series so well.
