This isn't a diet book, it's a lifestyle book. I began following Lesley Kenton's advice in 10 Steps to Energy about 12 months ago as I was feeling lethagic and was sleeping on average 10 hours a night. After reading the first chapters of the book and following the advice given I found I was sleeping on average 8 hours a night and had much more engergy. This change happened within the first month. The book advises which foods give you energy and how your body uses food to provide the energy. Which foods to avoid and which to eat the most of. Some advice, I felt, was a little extreme but you can put into practice as much or as little of the advice as you want and still feel the benefits. I am still following the book after 12 months and have seen my weight drop by about 14 pounds without any effort. The weight came off gradually and therefore has been easy to maintain. I have recommended the book to relatives and friends who have all benefitted. It's perfect for busy people as it's an easy read and can be dipped into and doesn't take too much precious energy!!
