Product Description

Product Description

Largely dismissed by the medical profession, the increasing incidence of candida-related health problems has been called "the silent epidemic of the nineties". All of us have the yeast "organis candida albicans" in our bodies. It is only when the production of candida gets out of control that there are problems - recurrent thrush, chronic fatigue, mood swins, headaches, indecisiveness, memory loss, insomnia, muscle ache, abdominal pain, constipation, loss of sexual desire - are just a few of the common indicators that candida overgrowth may be present in the body. Identifying trigger foods is the key to combating the problem. But where do you start? This book includes a complete candida maintenance programme and features delicious and easy recipes from leading cookery writer Michelle Berriedale-Johnson.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 14 Jun 2001
By A Customer
The best book about candida on the market. Pratical, simple, sensible - full of useful information (like I had to find the BioCare products on the internet - the no for the company is out of date). Having suffered from thrush and tiredness for weeks with western medicine having no result, it was only in reading this book that I realised I had to deal with the cause of my problems, not just cover the symptoms up. Within 3 days of following the diet, I felt a huge energy boost and am already on the way to recovery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, innovative and supportive for candida sufferers., 26 Nov 2000
Both my partner and I suffer from candida ... a debilitating dis-ease. Gill Jacobs makes the stringent dietary needs of a candida sufferer one big adventure! Eating can still be exciting, even with major restrictions - and this book really helps you stick to the diet by providing interesting, tasty meals which even non-candida sufferers can enjoy! Well done Gill!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, Informative, My new Bible, 3 May 2001
By A Customer
Not only tells you how to beat Candida, but first helps with self-diagnosis. In the 18 months since I bought this book, my wife has gained almost 2 stone in weight (she is now 9 stone), she has got her self confidence back, and now has more than enough energy to cope with our two pre-school boys! What a great book, don't sit reading this review, click on the ADD TO SHOPPING BASKET button and wait by your letter-box. You will not regret it!

2.0 out of 5 stars A biased opinion of the subject
This is the sort of book that would appeal to non-academics. The book is full of assumptions and conjecture. Read more
