5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the best!!!!!!!!, 27 Mar 2003
By A Customer
I am an Undergraduate student at Leeds Met University, studying Sport & Exercise Science. Sport Psychology is one of my main topics. I have the other key texts; Weinberg and Gill. I bought them two first. After finally investing in this book I realized that I need not have bothered with the first two as this book is by far superior to them. It covers the same and much more than the other books and is written in a very understandable way. It gives examples of concepts and applications throughout the book and brilliant summaries towards at the end of each chapter along with review questions. I promise anyone studying Sport psychology at Under Grad level that this book will be an invaluable source. But it NOW!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for undergraduate sports scientists, 3 Oct 2001
By A Customer
Richard Cox is one of the most referenced sports psychologist by both students and lecturers. This book contains all the principles in the first acedemic year for the psychology module of a sports science degree. The text is written concisely and is easyily interpretted for new comers to psychology. Diagrams and models are frequently used to reinforce theories of psychology.
This book will not only help you understand the principles of psychology, but also how they can be applied to sports psychology.
