5.0 out of 5 stars A rare book - if you can find it, get it!, 8 Nov 2004
This is the only biography written to date on this multi-talented
actress.Though having starred in two films now considered classics ('White Christmas' and 'On The Town'), Vera-Ellen has been sadly overlooked in this day in age. To the people who do remember her, she was one of the greatest dancers on the Hollywood screen, known for her ability to match such masters as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. So, for those of you who are fans or interested in dance, this is a must! I'm sure if Vera herself was alive today, she would be touched at how much work has been put into the production of this book. Although recently reprinted in the U.S. ( now available on amazon.com ), it is still hard to get hold of here: I only recently came across it myself and had to pay a large sum. But if you do find it, don't miss out! It contains many pictures, a few rare ( though in black and white ), and has many insights from friends and co-stars. Hopefully, they'll bring it out in the U.K.

At last, the dedicated biography this wonderful woman deserved!
