1.0 out of 5 stars Will not give you the information you need to pass the exam., 19 Feb 2001
By A Customer
This book covers the subject matter that you need to study to take this exam, but will not equip you to pass it.

The information it gives you is often a high level overview, which does not leave you with a good understanding of the subject or the technical detail that you will need to answer the questions in the exam.

Most of the first half of the book is dedicated to discussing the analysis of company structure and administrational model. These are exam objective from Microsoft, but the book spends far too much time on them, and I found it hard to stay awake in this part.

Much off the second part of the book has been given up to a huge glossary. I can only assume this has been added to pad the book out and make it appear more substantial.

Sandwiched in-between these are the bare bones of what you really need to know.

I passed this exam, but only did so by downloading a great deal of additional information in the way of Microsoft technical articles and white papers. While I was doing this I was amazed to find that the books walk-through of IPSec was almost identical to an article published as part of Microsoft TechNet. This left me feeling rather cheated.
