Was expecting more from this book. Tom & Deb did some superb work on ISA server and I was expecting more of the same here.

Sad to say, I would only recommend this if you're looking for an introduction to Windows 2000 Server. I found the book well laid out and easy to read, but there are too many simple mistakes and the book just doesn't go into enough depth to pass the exam.

Even the practice exam included on the CD is poor. Several questions were ambiguous and I would debate the answers given on others.

A much better choice would be the Sybex book. Again, not perfect, it probably doesn't explain some concepts well enough for the beginner, but it has much better depth of knowledge which is what you'll need to pass this exam.

If you're new to Windows 2000, buy this book, it's a great introduction, but remember to look elsewhere to fill out your knowledge.

This book repeats itself far to often. 700+ pages could have been condensed to 300. Spelling mistakes made me lack confidence in this book and the bull at the begining about how hard the exam is ... well. Clearly rushed out without thought, reading it was harder than the exam and I took very little away.
