2.0 out of 5 stars OK as a recipe book, 21 Dec 2008
This book was original written for back packers and has been adapted for boats. It has many recipes for breakfast , lunch and dinner. It might be suitable for weekend cruisers or short cruisers where you can take on many different ingredients or buy them when required. But for any one on extended cruising there is little useful info and many of the recipes required quite a wide range of these ingredients. There is little advice about stowage of food, except the obvious like having a hard case for eggs. It does have some good recipes for cooking in one pan which is the rational for the book. Be warned it is an american book - so you would need to have the appropriate measuring cups etc.
