Product Description

Asking the right questions can help job seekers ace the interview and land that job The most critical question job interviewers ask is often the last one. That's when they lean forward and say, "Do you have any questions?" As author John Kador points out, that's the applicants' moment to shine, to demonstrate that they have done their homework and that they're good fit with the organization. Most of all, it provides an applicant with an opportunity to ask for the job. A powerful resource for vast and growing numbers of job seekers, this book fills readers in on the pivotal questions they need to ask to ace the interview. With chapters organized around major themes, such as "the company," "the job," and "the community," 201 Best Questions to Ask on Your Interview not only supplies readers with the right questions for virtually every context but also coaches them on the right ways to ask them.

From the Back Cover

Ask the right questions and land the job of your dreams!

To really shine in your job interview and to get that dream job, the questions you ask must be at least as memorable as the answers you give. Today it's the questions you ask that set you apart from the dozenseven hundredsof qualified candidates competing for your job. Make your questions demonstrate that you are a superstar, a world-class candidate who will add significant value to the job from Day One. 201 Best Questions to Ask on Your Interview arms you with the questions and techniques you need to nail this most crucial part of the interview process.

Packed with 201 proven questions, including examples of some of the smartest and dumbest interview questions from hundreds of recruiters, job coaches, hiring managers, and Fortune 500 human resources professionals, this hands-on guide gives you the edge you need.

Improve your odds. March into your next interview fortified with questions such as:

  • What exactly does this company value the most and how do you think my work for you will further these values?
  • What kinds of processes are in place to help me work collaboratively?
  • What's the most important thing I can do to help within the first 90 days of my employment?
  • In what areas could your team use a little polishing?
  • When top performers leave the company, why do they leave and where do they usually go?
  • What do you see in me? What are my strongest assets and possible weaknesses?
  • I am very interested in this job, and I know your endorsement is key to my receiving an offer. May I have your endorsement?

Ask and you shall receive. In today's hyper-competitive job market, asking smart questions sets you apart from the competition. Turn to 201 Best Questions to Ask on Your Interview for get-noticed, get-hired tips and techniques that will help you ace your next interview.

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent (though slightly US focussed), 29 Feb 2008
Excellent book. Clearly written for the US market, but much (though not all) of the content is applicable to UK job interviews. Very useful to stimulate other questions and to give you a bunch of fall back questions if you're inclined to panic in interviews. A useful book to read alongside others - highly recommend "Brilliant CV", "Brilliant Interview" (2 v good examples of the many CV and interview books) and "How to Handle Your Recruitment Consultant" (only book I've found covering this area - and extremely useful - also happy to say it's written specifically for the UK market).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - a must have book for any interviewee, 18 April 2003
By A Customer
This is a must have book, it came recommended by several people who were offered jobs following their interview and the companies commented how they 'were impressed by the questions'!!! People may not realise it but many interviewers will decide on whether to offer you the job based on the questions you ask. This book will give you some great questions to ask! I ordered it by E-Book so it was cheaper than the paperback and i could print off pages i required!

4.0 out of 5 stars 201 Best Questions to sell yourself, 13 Jun 2005
By L.M.Saona (South Gloucestershire - U.K.) - See all my reviews
I've read this book to help me through the ackward passage of job interviews. It has very valuable help although the slant is too American and too sales-job oriented many of the questions can be adapted when applying to lower-end non-managerial positions.
