4.0 out of 5 stars a light to guide thoose in the dark world of set theory, 23 April 2003
i'll be honest: i HATE set theory, no its more then that, i dont think words can describe how much i loath even the name of this truely scary field of maths.

i bought this book out of despiration, and supricingly it helped (well i passed the set theory module of my uni course at any rate) linking set theory with other area's helped a great deal as did the simple layout, the exercises and the reviews after every chapter. even the paper felt nice, soft and pleasent.

its a good book not a great book but a good one all the same

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, 5 Sep 2006
Very good at explaining the concepts in an easy to follow manner but there are some maistakes (print/typing errors) throughout which can make it confusing, and if you don't spot it straight away as an obvious error can be very time consuming & frustrating. Having said that, this book is surprisingly easy to understand and I would reccommend it to anyone who needs to know about the subject. (I got it for uni)
