I suspect that if I tried to use some of the activities in the book my colleagues would think I had flipped.Activity Goal "...to foster deeper relationships among team members through storytelling about their life journeys..." Re. The Team Spirit Spiral "....reflect on the movements of the spiral in your own life..." "Ask the team to take a flight of fancy imagining... they are flying high above the earth as a bird or in a flying machine ..." Theres lots more - Harmonic Resonances, Team Manadala,interpretive report for the personality inventory. I know the book is American, but if I (as per one activity) sent my team out into a garden in pairs and asked them to bring back items that they felt represented the different levels of the "Team Spiral", I may never see some of them again. I thought that perhaps I had misunderstood the target audience of the book (i.e. not business) but the intro claims the system has been used to enhance Fortune 500 companies. To summarise, a potentially superb book / idea which needs translating into less "hello clouds, hello trees" jargon for the UK market. Comment Comment | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you? Organized by the stage of a team (developing, mature, etc.) there are activities here for any situation. I bought this book while preparing a workshop to combine two existing teams from different companies into one. Itseemed custom-made for my needs in developing the staff workshop and provided just the extra energy I was looking for. This book's a keeper - a welcome addition to my reference library.
