Review

"We dare you not to laugh at loud at these funny, snarky notes."
--Redbook magazine, November, 2008

Product Description

Kerry Miller's hit website features photos of plaintive notes left for people, citing any number of infractions. There's the classic leaving-the-dishes-in-the-sink, the stealing-your-coworker's-food-from-the-fridge, and roommate-vs.-roommate-thermostat-war. Much like PostSecret.com or FoundMagazine.com, once word got out about this fascinating collection online, it quickly developed a cult following. Now, the best of these notes is collected into the hilarious "Passive Aggressive Notes". It's barbed criticism disguised as something else - helpful advice, a funny joke, or simple forgetfulness. The book will showcase notes from the site as well as dozens never before seen in a highly visual treatment that showcases the notes like the personal artifacts they are.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very unfunny indeed !!, 17 Jan 2009

This book is proof that some people will buy anything ! And it goes straight into the "seemed like a good idea at the time " category.

A review on the cover of this drivel claims it to be deliriously funny, well I think that is about as far from the truth as possible. Make no mistake this book is an abomination and possibly the worst book I've ever read, and I shall put my hands up and say " Yes I got caught ". So good people of the world let my mistake be your lesson. If you want to waste an hour of your life then pick your nose or scratch your backside, there will be much more joy to be had.

Money for Old Rope, 4 Dec 2008

Reviews promised I'd 'laugh out loud' at the notes in this book. I didn't. A small amount of the content is mildly amusing at best, and there is plenty of bad language too. That in itself wouldn't have stopped me buying it, but it's worth mentioning in case you were thinking of purchasing this book for a sensitive soul.

I bought it as a gift for a friend and will be sending it straight to a charity shop.
