This is by far the best book I have ever read. Just get past the first couple of chapters and it really gets going and doesnt stop till the last page. It is a book that I wanted to go on and on!

I have recently read Damnation Game, Imajica and Coldheart Canyon. To be hones... I preferred Coldheart Canyon... Sure Imajica is a master work far surpassing the milestone that was Weaveworld in its imaginative story... but Coldheart Canyon...is the complete package it is a love story... a horror story and a fanatsy story all in one; all set within an accessible landscape.

The relationships are handled with care and affection, between all parties and only when the story demands it are we pludged deep into vulvic excesses.

The whole experience of reading this book has left me... well spellbound... who would have thought such a story could lie behind such an uninspiring title. But hey only those who have taken the time to read this book will know I'm talking about.

This book is a must read for any Clive Barker fan, or indeed as your first visist to Mr Barker's imagination.

This is a typical piece of Barker fantasy, if you enjoyed Weaveworld then you will love this work.

Without giving away too much of the plot, the book deals with the world of Hollywood where looks, youth and image are everything and gives it a push over the edge into a dark and sexy fantasy.

A believable and unlikely heroine, a cast of understandable and flawed villains and some terrific set pieces, this is a novel to savour.

I wonder of some of the dead stars Barker revives to such effect would feel libelled or delighted by hisa view of their hedonistic committment to pleasure.
