Victoria Alexander - The trouble with Charlotte
Charlotte Robb, the widow of Captain Hugh Robb who'd met his demise at the battle of Albuera 6 years ago is just deciding if Marcus the Earl of Pennington might make a good 2nd husband when in walks her long dead husband, what can a woman do but faint!

Liz Carlyle - Much ado about twelfth night
Edward the new Marquess of Rythorpe is dealing with ceiling's collapsing let alone the rest of the estate when his grandmamma orders him to hold a birthday party for her. She will be bringing Lady Sophie St. John with her who his grandmamma informs him has an offer to make him which she is sure he will not refuse as it will solve his problems.
Sophie is going with her brother Will as she has an offer to make to buy twelfth night a horse that Edward inherited.
Edward and Sophies lines remain crossed to the end with hilarious results.

Eloisa James - A fool again
Lady Genevieve Mulcaster had been a bargain for Erasmus Mulcaster, he had taken her for nothing because she was ruined after her father had snatched her back from a Gretna Green marriage to find she had dallied in the coach! Now a widow she has 2 years to marry one of Lord Mulcaster's partners to receive any money. She has just decided when who should return from abroad to put a spanner in the works but Tobias Darby the man she eloped with.

Cathy Maxwell - Nightingale
Sir Dane Pendleton is going to fight a duel with Lord Whiting in the morning, when Lord Whiting's sister Jemma Carson the widowed Lady Mosby is announced by his butler. She has come to stop the duel and offers herself to Dane. But they are not strangers, years ago they were in love but Jemma went off and married for a title and Dane is still angry. Will a long night with Jemma in his bed cool his ire?

All 4 stories are very good, they all deal with mistakes made in the past when the protagonists were young and now years later fate gives them an opportunity but do they all take it?
I must admit that Liz Carlyle's story became my favourite due to the humour but the other stories are very good too, as all have believable motivations, heroes and heroines who you instantly like and have sympathy for, under the sheets the advanced cuddling is hot but not out of place with the plots, plus these are no young girls but mature women with pasts.
