Dissapointed to say the least, 6 Jan 2001
Upon receipt of this book I was excited to start with my new book to begin my slow cooking recipes. Upon opening the parcel I was excited as the book is bound with an "O" ring, for anyone who has tried cooking from cookbooks without this will understand that it is a bonus. Upon then opening the book I was slightly disappointed as there are no illustartions so you don't really know what your recipe is going to look like. The other diappointment was the fact that there are obviously a lot of American terminologies, which if you can get around you will be okay.

disappointing, not worth the money, worst slow cookbook ever, 8 Jun 1999
By A Customer
Book is not really geared to the every-day houswife. Good basic everday dishes just aren't there. The desserts and beverages I will make in the slow cooker are far and few between. Personally I need meat mainstay menus.

Too many cans and packets!, 16 Feb 1999
By A Customer
I didn't find the recipes inspiring, and from a "healthy eating" point of view, I was disappointed to see so many cans, packets and jars of ingredients, e.g packages of frozen vegetables with rice, ready prepared sauces, packet soups, cans of vegetables, etc. This book is going back!
