2.0 out of 5 stars The American Landlord, 3 April 2004
By Brenda Sharpe (Billingham, Cleveland United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This book has cleaarly been written for the American market and does contain very useful information and advice. It is clear the Americans have far more experience than the Brititsh with rental properties and this is reflected in this book. Unfortunately being so specifically geared, more than 1/4 of the book relates to specific American states (discussing law, responsibilities and taxes) and as such is of limited use to the British market. I have taken away some useful pointers from this book such as welcoming tenants, running a rental business and dealing with tenant disputes, but feel it is less useful to the U.K. landlord.

1.0 out of 5 stars American, 6 Jun 2004
This book is written for the American market. Okay, a lot of principles will still apply in the UK. It is annoying when a publisher doesn't take the time to localise their publications.
