4.0 out of 5 stars Nicholsons review, 5 May 2009
By Mr. D. C. Mather (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

A very useful guide book full of valuable information. Be careful when considering pubs to go to for evening meals etc as we have found some to be shut. "A sign of the times" Better to ring ahead and book just to be sure. Otherwise a good investment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Adequate, 26 Jul 2009
By Rhiannon Davies - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This guide provided information on the route but I think the information on the pubs was a bit disappointing. Given that the majority of the pubs alongside the canal didn't serve evening meals it would have been helpful to have been provided with alternative options.

4.0 out of 5 stars 2009 Edition, 6 Oct 2009
By G. Smith (Stoke-on-Trent, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Up to usual high standards although the recesion and rapidly declining number of pubs will render it increasingly vulnerable to error as soon as it's published, sadly. For canal users this remains a 'must have', however.
