Book Description
The complete first series from BBC Radio 4, plus the pilot episode and over twenty-five minutes of never-heard-before sketches and outtakes. "Comedy ecstasy...’Heat magazine. The Little Britain radio series won a Sony Award when it first appeared on radio, and has since gone on to become a comedy phenomenon. Now, available for the first time, are the original pilot and all four episodes of the original radio series – complete and uncut. Matt Lucas and David Walliams’ comedy creations are already household names and need no introduction: Daffyd, the only gay in his village, Emily ‘I’m a lady!’ Howard, incoherent young offender Vicky Pollard, Kenny ‘Look into my eyes’ Craig, and Marjorie Dawes from FatFighters. Not forgetting Denver Mills, Dennis Waterman, and children’s entertainer Des Kaye. Complementing Tom Baker’s brilliantly bizarre narration, and David Arnold’s original music, are many characters that have only ever appeared on radio: Cockney Film Star, taxi driver Jackie Paper, Joey the Stool, and two of the worst ghosts you’ll ever know. With a wealth of bonus material that includes sketches and hilarious outtakes never transmitted on radio, welcome to the wonderful and surreal world of Little Britain. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Synopsis
With the television show now in its third series comes the accompanying scripts book. This third installment of "The Complete Scripts and Stuff" is sure to continue to delight the cult fanbase the show has gained over the years with exclusive photographs and special extras. Britain, Britain, Britain. So good they done it thrice. But who is this book? And why? Fully illustrated in colour, this large-format hardback contains all the scripts to the third series of the award-winning show, together with brand new text and photos, which have been specially produced by Matt and David and are exclusive to this book. "Little Britain" has gone from being Britain's best-loved sketch comedy since "The Fast Show" and "The Office", and is now a phenomenon. With BAFTAs and awards aplenty, it's made the transition from cult cool to the kind of quotable success that comedy classics are made of.

Alongside such household names as Daffyd, the only gay in the village; Marjorie Dawes, the terrifying FatFighters group leader; Emily Howard, the rubbish transvestite; and Vicky Pollard, the turbo-tongued chav, series three introduces us to a host of new characters, including Ting Tong, the mail order Thai bride who's got more than most girls; Sir Norman Fry, Member of Parliament for Little Fumble; and Mrs Emery, who has 'a bit of a problem downstairs'. This is the ultimate companion to Britain's favourite television show.

5.0 out of 5 stars At last - the complete series!, 6 Sep 2004
By Mr S. SMITH (Nottingham, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I and many others were at a complete loss as to why the BBC released an edited "best of" version of this series on CD last year, particularly as the whole series was so funny it deserved a full release. A BBC spokesperson said:

"Yeah, but no, but yeah, but no, so shaddap! Anyway Meredith came over and started stirrin' it all up calling me all these fings about this fing wot I don't not even never know nuffinck about, so shaddap!"

Now here's your chance to own the series complete (Radio series 2 is out in October). We've waited for far too long for this release, but it's here at last. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Little Britian - Big Book!, 2 Oct 2004
By A Customer
If you're a fan of Little Britain then this book is definately for you. Over two hundred pages packed full of scripts from all eight episodes of the first series and the pilot episode. Extras including letters to the local paper from Daffyd, Marjorie Dawes' shopping list, Sebastian's visual fantasies about him and the Prime Minister and Vicky Pollard's exam paper. Now, if that's not enough, there is even some exclusive pictures taken especially for the book. The DVD is of course released within the next two weeks and this would accompany it excellently!
