Product Description

Darren Shan, Mr Crepsley and Vancha Marsch, are the hunters of the dusk. Their quarry -- the Vampaneze Lord. But friends old and new may stand in their way! THE SAGA OF DARREN SHAN BOOK 7 It is six years after Darren was made a Vampire Prince and following a grim prophesy made by Mr Tiny, the vampires know the ascension of the Vampaneze Lord is at hand. Mr Tiny warns the vampires that there will be only three opportunities for the Vampaneze Lord to be vanquished and only three vampires who may succeed: Vancha Marsch, Larten Crepsley! and Darren Shan. Leaving the enclave of Vampire Mountain, Harkat, Darren and Mr Crepsley are shadowed by a creature of the night, do battle with the vampaneze, meet the mysterious Evanna and pay a visit to some old friends at the Cirque Du Freak. But no friend can prevent the bloody trail of bodies -- the Vampaneze Lord may be more than a match for the hunters of the dusk.

5.0 out of 5 stars The saga of darren shan; Hunters of the dusk, 24 Aug 2002
"only one of you will be alive to witness the fall of the vampire clan, the other two will be dead."

After nearly two decades of being a half vampire and only six of those being a vampire prince, Darren Shan is torn appart emotionaly by the war of the scars (the war between the vampanez and the vampires). Darren, Mr Crepsly his tutor in the vampire world, and Vancha March set out on a mission to kill the vampanez lord before he rises to power and wipes the vampires from the face of their twlight world. But all is not lost, though vicously protected, the vampanez lord will cross the path of the three vampires, only four times, and only four goes they have at killing him. They were told to follow their hearts, but in fear, a heart stands still.

This is a brilliant book, it is just oozing with emotions, figthing and death, this book, i recomend to anyone who has a taste for adventure. This was definatly the best book of the whole saga, and i am getting ready for the next action packed adventure!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic book, 8 Jun 2002
By A Customer
This book is one of the best so far in the Darren Shan series. The suspense in this book is terrific!, and right from the first page the book grabs you and makes you want to read more. This series is to be continued in books 8 and 9 and I can't wait! The cliffhanger at the end makes this book great and well worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars back from the dead, 9 Jun 2002
Once again, we find ourselves immersed in the Darren Shan Saga. It has held our breaths for us and released our gasps for us.
After a brilliant and bloodthirsty first trilogy, Darren Shan becomes less and less able to write books that appeal for the targeted age-range (teens). After making the poor second trilogy we find ourselves wondereing whether it is such a good idea to continue reading the Saga.
Then, completely out of the blue, we get one of Shans finest writings yet (Hunters Of The Dusk). It clearly shows all of the capability he has shown during the first 3 books.

This book is definately worth its time to read and for readers of this genre, if they have not already started with Shan, I strongly suggest they do!
With such brilliant and skilled writing as Darren can make it, this is definately worth reading.
Don't be put off with the poor 2nd trilogy as this opener for the newest adventure will surely let your imaginations run wild and I can already see you having second thoughts about putting Vampire Mountain down, if only to read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The very best
This book really captures the meaning of being at war and not being able to trust anybody. I thought it was a wonderful book and was also funny and the same time.
