Product Description

You can reduce your blood pressure - naturally, and safely! High blood pressure is a serious and ever increasing health problem throughout the population. It's also a condition that responds well to natural treatment methods both instead of and alongside conventional drug therapies. This book offers a four point natural health plan which aims to help lower high blood pressure. The plan covers: the blood pressure diet - plus the key vitamin and mineral supplements; the blood pressure easy introduction to exercise - plus lifestyle top tips on how to cut down smoking and alcohol consumption; the blood pressure stress free zone - ways to really relax and reduce those stress levels; and your blood pressure buddies - complementary health treatments to lower and correct blood pressure problems. The book also includes: a straightforward introduction to blood pressure - what is it? why do we need it? why does it go "high" and what's wrong with that?; and the lowdown on heart problems (including angina), kidney problems, blood clots and stroke.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book lowered our BPs..., 6 Mar 2002
By A Customer
This book is ace; I am a forty-nine year old mother of 3 teenagers and my husband is fifty. First, he was diagnosed with a raised blood pressure (156/100)and then 3 months later, it was my turn (150/99). We both started the treatments our GP prescribed but the pills made me feel faint so I stopped them, and my husband found he couldn't get en erection if he took his. So we weren't too happy.

Then I came across this book on the Amazon list - I already have some of Dr Shreeve's books (now very sadly out of print) on Depression and Overcoming The Menopause Naturally. I bought this current book of hers and Derek and I found all the suggestions really easy to follow. We both relax for 20-30 minutes morning and evening, follow her nutritional advice and take a number of supplements, as well as starting to exercise (which much to our surprise we enjoy!)We have both also lost over a stone in weight.

Three months after starting Dr Shreeve's advice Derek's BP had come down to 140/85 and mine's down to 128/82. And NO side effects of course!

To say we are thrilled with the book is an understatement. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone.
