in this `unusual' story from Nick Butterworth!

But when the fun starts, Tiger's friends just can't help joining in!'

32 high quality shiny pages in the popular 2-page spread format.
Super 4 page pull-out towards the back.
Beautifully illustrated in vibrant colours throughout, further enhanced by relevant facial expressions!
Large bold text, unusual and EMPHASISED in places for effect, but the capital letters are a bit hard to notice on the first read, particularly on the first page (see above photo).

Example of text:-

`Tiger the kitten has lots of friends.
Usually.
It isn't hard for Tiger to find someone to play with.
Usually.
But today is an unusual day.
Snow has covered everything with a chilly white blanket.
No one wants to come out to play.
Except Tiger......'

Some friends are just too busy, some think it is just too cold.....but, worry not!
When Tiger unearths something buried in the snow, the unusual day turns out to be much more exciting.....with more `participants', than originally anticipated!

My little boy loved the first Tiger book when we got it from the local library and so, when we went to buy it from Amazon, we got this follow-up as well in a "Buy them together for less" deal. Although the story is quite a bit longer, making it more difficult to keep a young child's attention all the way to the end, the pictures are, if anything, even more captivating and there is an excellent pull-out section towards the end which shows a huge frieze of the characters sledging down a hill.

The first time my little boy saw this in all it's glory he started jumping up and down with excitement. What higher recommendation can their be? :)
