5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating, 28 Feb 2003
By A Customer
I found this quite an inspiring read! Even though I've only just started to put some of the suggestions into practice it's already made small differences to the way I think about things. The explanations of how we're made and what we're capable of are staggering, and I have already found myself reconsidering activities that I've assumed for years that I was "naturally" bad at. The way the book is structured, with regular intervals where the reader has to actually participate in order to get the most out of it, force the information given to be taken in. Many of the suggestions and pieces of information given are obvious and self-explanatory, yet we never think about them! I would recommend this book to anyone who believes that they have any failings at all, who thinks that there is anything in their life that needs improving, who wants to hone their skills in any subject, or who simply wants to be reminded of what an amazing, wonderful thing the human form really is!

5.0 out of 5 stars An exhilerating injection of feel good factor, 8 April 2002
By A Customer
Have you ever have had any doubt in yourself in any way ? Have you really wanted to challenge yourself and thought that it couldn't be acheived ?

This book is written in an easy to understand manner with a visually appealing page layout. Even if you are not a believer in your own ability, you soon will be. I was amazed at the facts and capabilities of our infinite minds and how we do not use it to a fuller potential.

This book is not content with the reader taking one or two things from it. It wants you to want it all ... all the facts, figures and motivational techniques ... and you will !

You will find yourself with a new found thirst for knowledge, an appreciation of all things and an exceptional sense of direction along the path of mental and physical well being. You will soon find yourself turning into a conduit of inspiration to all around you.

If you have any doubt in yourself, this book will prove to you just how fortunate you are to be a human being.

5.0 out of 5 stars A positive feast for the mind and body!, 17 Oct 2001
If the purpose of a self-help book is to inform, summon up one's creative juices, stimulate, entertain, and lead one to a new approach to life, then this book is a giant among such books.

It informs through its many scientific facts about the brain and body. It appeals to one's creative abilities through its description of the brain and its synergetic nature, and includes descriptions of a creativity game and mind mapping. It is stimulating to read of wonderful thinking tools such as meta-positive thinking and TEFCAS, a real success formula. And entertaining in that the author includes marvellous illustrations of positive outcomes from the many techniques explained in the book.

As a recently graduated teacher of the Alexander Technique, I am particularly pleased to see that he has included a section on this in his book.

It is beautifully presented with lots of mind maps used to summarise its content. In short, this is one of the best books Tony Buzan has written so far, if not the best, on mental and physical literacy - a positive feast for mind and body!
