Product Description

Synopsis

After a drunken party, Jack tells Sam that ten years ago they murdered five people in some bizarre teenage ritual attempt to turn back time. Sam doesn't believe him. How could he, if it never happened? He knows this as well as he knows the numbers of fingers on his own hands. Until the bones turn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely readable, with a mind blowing twist, 27 Feb 2002
I can't recommend this book too highly. It is dripping with a delightfully cynical wit, and is beautifully crafted. The twist is so good that time seemed to stand still while I stared at the page and tried to come to terms with the magnitude of it. It is more of a double twist, perhaps a compound twist or even a twist squared. I will have to re-read the book in the light of this new found knowledge.

It is an excellent page-turner, clever and funny. I damned near p***ed myself laughing. Read it and wee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely funny and pleasure to read!, 6 Feb 2002
I could'nt stop reading it! Extremely funny with bizzare twists. The Dudley link provides further humour, memeories of 'Grimleys' come to mind.

I sincerely look forward to reading further novels by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 28 Nov 2003
By ratscat13 "ratscat13" (North East Scotland) - See all my reviews

This book is fantastic. From the moment you pick it up you cannot put it down. The twin lines of the story make for a good twist and turn potential - however this is held for one final BIG twist!
If you live in the Midlands then be prepared for a wry look at yourself - and its quite spot on! In fact this was so funny I bought a copy for my mate - now back home in Dudley - she loves the digs at her home town and its neighbours!
I really recommend this book - but not if you are expecting a traditional murder mystery - it is far removed from that - in fact the murders are pretty insignificant to the tale!

1.0 out of 5 stars Utter Rubbish

2.0 out of 5 stars A disappointment
I'm not sure if I read the same book as these people. I found it very smug, the author obviously pleased that he had found a twist and was going to tease the audience. Read more

This book was recommended to me by my sister - I thought she's gone a bit mad the way she was raving about it. Could any book be that good? YES! Read more
