Product Description

Third novel in the Covert-One series. When an explosion destroys the esteemed Pasteur Institute in Paris, cyber-wizard Marty Zellerbach is left in a coma, while one of the world's top computer scientists - Emile Chambord - goes missing. Although a terrorist group takes credit for the bombing, American and British officials begin to wonder whether there might be an even more sinister plot at work. Meanwhile, in a clandestine army lab in Colorado, Lt. Col. Jon Smith is part of a team working to create a DNA computer, the most powerful computer the world has ever seen. When Jon learns his old friend Marty is seriously injured, he intends to leave for Paris. Then Nathan Klein, the shadowy chief of Covert-One, shows up with an assignment - find Dr. Chambord who, it turns out, has built the world's first working molecular computer and the implications if it falls into the hands of a rogue government or terrorist cell are terrifying...From Paris to London, Brussels and Algiers, Smith searches for the scientist and the forces behind the bombing, uncovering a web of deception on the brink of reshaping Europe and threatening the destruction of the United States.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brill, 23 Nov 2003
When an explosion destroys the esteemed Pasteur Institute in Paris, cyber-wizard Marty Zellerbachis left in a coma, while one of the world's top computer scientists, Emile Chabord goes missing. Although a terroist group takes credit for the bombing. American and British officialsbegin o wonder wheather their might be a more sinister plot. A DNA computer starts to terroize the world!!!

I thought it was a great book, it was the best ludlum book I've read. It was full of action, and all the way through as well. To make a book full o action is very difficult.

I would recommend it to anyone over 16 because their is some swearing and difficult words. It was like any other Ludlum book, brilliant. So any ludlum fan would love it.

A brilliant book, definately read it

5.0 out of 5 stars High paced and very addictive!, 6 Nov 2005

(REAL NAME)
This book is action packed from the beginning to the end. It refers to real events which have taken place, real agencies and also has references to a real website, which I have visited!

On the whole, I would recommend anyone to read this short and enjoyable novel by Robert Ludlum and Gayle Lynds. Having read this novel, I can't wait to read others in the same series such as "The Bourne Legacy".

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish, 2 Sep 2004
By Nigel L. Carter (Rugby United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Badly written and difficult to read. A childish approach reminiscent of Enid Blyton's Famous Five - an insult to the memory of Robert Ludlum. Should be read as a new novelist - Gayle Lynds and not trade on the Ludlum name. I found it impossible to complete, something I can say of very few novels.

1.0 out of 5 stars Read like a comic book, an insult to readers' intelligence
I bought Ludlum's Paris Option in anticipation of a good action packed read like the Bourne Identity. What a disappointment! This book reads like an action comic. Read more
