Product Description

Synopsis

At the age of 16, Huxley was stricken with an eye disease which left him in a state of near-blindness for many years thereafter. In 1939, in a state of exasperation, he began to practise the method of visual re-education evolved by Dr W.H. Bates. Within two months he was reading without spectacles and without eyestrain. An enthusiastic convert, Huxley wrote this book, a homage to the Bates method and a serious challenge to the orthodox medical profession.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully Creative, 22 Oct 2006

This review is from: Art of Seeing (Paperback)
This is the first book that initiated me to natural eyesight awareness. Its a very truthful/profound book that establishes the links between the eye, brain and body. It is extremely useful if you have started the journey of letting go of your glasses

3.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating, 1 April 1999
By A Customer
Whether you believe in the methods put forward by Huxley, or more likely feel quite silly when trying them out, one cannot doubt that Huxley believes in what he is writing. We have become so used to 'scientific' explanations for things that it is refreshing to be told that there are alternatives. Huxley explains these alternatives brilliantly.
