My now deceased mother (who was a recovering crack addict herself) gave me her copy of Iced years ago.
i picked it up a dozen times or more, read the first page and placed it back in my book shelf.
I thank the day I ventured past that first page.
Iced truly encaptulated what it is like to be an addict as well as what families of addicts go through.

The book is as addictive as its subject matter as I have read the book numerous times and am currently reading it once again.

Its puzzling to me as to why it has not been republished, as I truly think that Ray Shell could easily find himself a bestseller if more people were given the opportunity to read his fine work.

Iced has been inspiring to myself as a young budding writer, and I would like to thank you Ray Shell on behalf of all those that have been touched by your words.

Have you ever seen a homeless person and wondered how they got there; what choices they had made in their life that took them to that place? Have you ever seen an addict and wanted to speak to them? Find out what is going on in their mind?
This book is that conversation.
My life is a million miles from Cornelius's - that's what I have always thought. The truth is we are all a few disappointments away from walking that path. Open the book and enter that "underworld" that is one decision away from being your future!

i have bought this book three times now and read it countless times. it is a real gritty book with a story line that so many people can associate with. the stuggle of an addict to come to terms with his problems.

i have lost track of the people i have told to read this book and all of them have said the same. Wow! when is there going to be another Ray Shell novell
