As a former religious, I had been looking for a breviary to assist me in my daily prayer. I was extremely pleased with DIVINE OFFICE: MORNING AND EVENING PRAYER. The language is eminantly readable. The psalms and the hymns have a rhythmic flow that assists the reader's prayerful concentration.
The set-up of the book and the directions would be very difficult for a lay person unacquainted with the Divine Office. It would be nice if the book came with a simplified set of directions.
I am very glad I happened upon this book.

This book is an excellent resource for all seeking to enrich their daily prayer life. It is an excellent way of keeping in tune with the daily prayers of the church especially with those of fellow clergy and laity. This is a must for all Roman Catholics and brothers and sisters in the Anglican communion who are of the Anglo-catholic persuasion.
