5.0 out of 5 stars NEW TO COLLECTING? START HERE!, 8 Jun 1999
By A Customer
The Collins Gem series has been around forever, but their staying power is based upon the content of these aptly-named books. "Collecting Stamps" is no exception, for it is packed with every scrap of essential information you are likely to need as a new (or experienced) stamp collector. Stunningly illustrated with hundreds of full-colour stamps, it covers every aspect of the hobby from the rare to the commonplace. The section on Cinderella stamps will have you longing to visit the bogus territories of Deh Sedang and Counani! This is the ideal text book for anyone new to the hobby - and an entertaining read for those with just a passing interest.
