From changing a fuse, to a complete rewiring it has everything and will keep you to IEE regulations. I am an accounts manager, and have had no training in electrical work whatsoever, but thanks to this book I have completly rewired the house. Putting in showers, cookers, lighting circuits and mains circuits. It is very easy to follow and shows how simple electrical work is.

I used this book to brush up on what I learnt at college & never used! Easy to follow diagrams but could do with a little more details on low voltage ligthing and consumer boards. Some terms are outdated in version 16 of wiring regs.

It's not a huge volume but what it does cover it covers well, and to be fair it's not a huge price either. Being picky, I'd have preferred the inclusion of circuit diagrams in addition to the drawings of wires going into the back of sockets and so on but it's easy to follow. It's probably due an update on low voltage halogen lighting as well, but all the basics are there. I wasn't disappointed, it's well worth the money.
