This book is an excellent help for GCSE students, not fully covering higher level information fully, during CDT/Systems and Control/Equivalent course. The book provides useful help in the form of diagrams, pictures and examples as well as text. Information needed at this level is complete and full, very helpful in revision. Some passages are more useful than others at a GCSE level, with the main points needed to gain a good grade in a written exam. Possibly the best and most thorough parts of the book are those on mechanisms, these are excellently represented and described with both simple and complex diagrams and pictures of how they are used in modern machinery. This book is used as a standard by many schools for students to use.
