Product Description

Product Description
This volume is a celebration of bad writing - a journey into the lives of writers so wonderfully awful, they have unwittingly arrived at genius from the other direction. From Canada comes James McIntyre the famous cheese poet, while the Duchess of Newcastle was, in the author's words, "that rare gem, a truly bad writer". When Solyman Brown turned to poetry he obviously heeded the advice given to most authors to "write about what you know". Unfortunately, in Solyman's case, this meant teeth as he was the owner of a dental supply store.

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny, 4 Jun 2001
By A Customer
The author has taken a light hearted but irreverent look as some very bad writing indeed. Poems without rhyme, reason and quite often words that actually mean anything, abound. The ludicrousness (if there is such a word) and sheer absurdity comes across well and the author breaks up the verse/prose with a witty running commentary and small morsels of biography about these literary not-so-greats. A very amusing read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly funny, 30 Mar 2001
By A Customer
The author of the hilarious Tabloid Bible, Tabloid Shakespeare and The Dead Sea Files has done his loyal fans a real favour with this one! It is an inspired collection of achingly awful writing, with appropriately witty commentary. A real 'must share with' (or, if necessary, buy for!)others book.

Can't wait for his next one!
