Review
'Throws off the false clues and misleading events as only a master of the art can do.' New York Times 'Liveliness infectious zest as good as anything Miss Christie has done.' Observer
Some of us are hoping for a reincarnation of Hercule Poirot-but not yet. Here again is old Miss Marple, far from her English village, holidaying on a Caribbean island. But true to form, she finds herself in the midst of violent death and suspicious circumstances. Through adroit gossip mongering and casual questioning she manages to collect sundry clues and bits of evidence; to prove she is still far from being the old busybody she seems to aid the unaware authorities in spotting the criminal in their midst. Smooth and very feminine. (Kirkus Reviews)
