5.0 out of 5 stars The Phillips - an English translation by an English gent, 25 Jun 2009
I had been looking for a copy of this translation for years, after having seen it referenced by many notable older authors. I'm glad I did! It is a quality translation that, to me, reads in colour, not black and white, unlike the NIV, and from my perspective has less cultural baggage and bias than THE MESSAGE. So, if you're thinking of getting it, do. I loved it.
