5.0 out of 5 stars Best bird book if you're heading for Oz, 25 Oct 2001
By A Customer
The dazzling array of species to be found down under can be a daunting prospect for the birder as he arrives on Australian soil, but armed with Pizzey and Knight you'll soon be ticking away merrily. Even illustartions as detailed and animated as Frank Knight's can't help you sort out all the gerygones, but the honeyeaters will come alive as you turn the pages. I wish I was back in The Daintree just looking at the pictures. Keep this book by your side as you walk through Kingfisher Park and Victoria's Riflebird will be yours. Don't go to the Antipodes without this!
